In the period that follows my coronation as the Queen of the Known Universe, while I am requiring the rewriting of all the books on economics, I will insist that they strike the word "growth" from every page and replace it with words like "redistribution", "redirection", re-appropriation, and perhaps even harsher words-because "growth" has far too much of a "magic bean" air about it-as though there aren't resources used that might be of value elsewhere and that most transactions involve not the simple "like for like" transaction of a shoemaker giving shoes with the baker in exchange for bread, but instead a situation where an advantage is leveraged.
